Open position: Board alternate, CBS Students Board of Directors
CBS STUDENTS IS LOOKING FOR A SKILLED AND COMMITTED ALTERNATE WHO IS PASSIONATE ABOUT VOLUNTEERISM AND STUDENT POLITICS TO JOIN OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Are you interested in putting theory into practice by working with the strategic development of an organization on the Board level? CBS Students is looking to appoint a new alternate to our Board of Directors. This is a remarkable opportunity to gain practical experience with leadership and strategic development in a serious organisation while building a fantastic network of talented students and professionals.
POSITION
As an alternate of the Board you will participate on an equal footing with ordinary members of the Board with the only exception of not having a vote. You might be taking over the position of ordinary member in the fall. You will become part of the Board of Directors and thus responsible (together with the rest of the Board) for the political results and organisational development of the organisation. You will be involved in determining the strategy of the organisation along with other natural tasks for a Board.
YOUR PROFILE
From a potential candidate, we expect:
Have a sincere wish to make a positive difference for the students
Be willing to commit the time to engage in the Board work, which is voluntary and unpaid
Be comfortable voicing your opinion and engaging in discussions
You must be a student at Copenhagen Business School. Candidates of all ages, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, religions etc. will be considered.
ORGANIZATION
CBS Students is the student union at Copenhagen Business School, representing and working for more than 20.000 students across all study programmes and interests. CBS Students is politically independent, works on a non-profit basis and is financed by CBS and sponsorships from external partners. The objective of the organization is to make CBS a better university, both academically and socially. CBS Students facilitates the work of more than 100 student organizations, each of which works for a specific area of interest. The organization also arranges the university election and facilitates the work of more than 80 student representatives. Furthermore, CBS Students runs the two facilities; Cafeerne ApS and CBS Collection ApS, to improve the student environment.
