MEET THE CANDIDATES

Organisational Board Members

  • I am writing to nominate myself for the CBS Students board member position on behalf of CBS United Nations.

As a master’s student in General Management and Analytics and former Director of Network at CBS Students, I’ve

worked closely with over 100 student organizations. This experience has given me a clear understanding of the

challenges societies face and how CBS Students can support them better. I’ve also led initiatives like the Board Talent

Academy, which helped students take leadership roles and develop governance skills.

Currently, I’m the President of CBS United Nations, where I focus on creating opportunities for students to connect

and engage with global issues. My time at CBS has taught me that the best results come from listening to others,

working hard, and focusing on what really matters for the community.

If elected, my priorities would include:

    a) Improving communication and collaboration with student organizations.

    b) Advocating for students during CBS’s program restructuring.

    c) Strengthening partnerships with CBS organizations and external companies to create opportunities for all students.

I believe my experience and commitment to the student community make me well-suited for this role. Thank you for

considering my nomination, and I’m happy to answer any questions.

  • I am excited to apply for the position of Organizational Member of the CBSS Board. As someone who is deeply

involved in various student organizations at CBS, I believe I can bring a valuable perspective and a strong

commitment to collaboration and development to the role.

Since October 2022, I have been an active member of CBSQuizTime, a student organization dedicated to organizing

social events for our fellow students. During my time as Head of Events, I was proud to contribute to CBSQuizTime

being voted Student Society of the Year in 2023. This achievement was a testament to the hard work, creativity, and

teamwork that went into organizing engaging events that connected and energized our student community. In the past

six months, I have served as interim President, overseeing the strategic direction of the organization, ensuring its

organizational stability and continuing to strengthen its impact on campus.

Additionally, my involvement with CBSS as a volunteer for the past six months has given me the opportunity to work

closely with the executive management team on various projects. This hands-on experience has allowed me to gain a

deeper understanding of CBSS' operations, values, and the broader goals of our student body. I’ve also been in

regular contact with and have supported other student organizations like CBSAsiaDays and GCC, collaborating on

initiatives that enhance the student experience at CBS.

I am passionate about the role student organizations play in creating a vibrant campus culture, and I believe my

background in event management, strategic planning, and cross-organizational collaboration uniquely qualifies me for

the role of Organizational Member on the CBSS Board. I am eager to continue fostering partnerships, developing new

initiatives, and ensuring that the voices and needs of CBS students are represented at the highest level.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to the continued success and

growth of CBSS and our student organizations.

  • Copenhagen Debating Society is thrilled to officially nominate our Vice President, Martha

Johanne Schou, to the Board of CBS Students. Martha is a third year BSc IBP student, who

has contributed immensely to our society and to the general student-wellbeing at CBS. As

part of their work with CBS Students, Martha has been a member of the board of the Activity

Pool for 1.5 years, and they were also one of the selected student representatives who took

part in the Strategic Decision-Making Forum with former CBS President, Nikolaj

Malchow-Møller. This demonstrates that Martha is well-versed in the workings of CBS

Students and that they go above and beyond in order to ensure an efficient student

    community that fulfills its purposes.

Martha was quickly elected to the board when they first joined Copenhagen Debating

Society, and they have since proven to be an invaluable resource. As a great debater, Martha

both inspires and teaches new students, regularly taking ownership of improving shared

learning experiences through workshops and lectures. From an organizational perspective,

Martha contributes greatly to a vast array of key activities, a few examples include:

Organizing events of all sizes, working with key stakeholders, promoting activities, and

    managing budgets.

In short, Martha has all the experience necessary to thrive in this role. More importantly, they

have the sincere willingness to work hard to improve CBS Students and we could not be

prouder to nominate them for this position.

  • I am writing to express my strong interest in joining the CBS Students Board. As a current student deeply

engaged with CBS’s vibrant community, I am excited by the opportunity to contribute to shaping the

strategic direction and initiatives that enhance the experience of all students.

During my time at CBS, I have had the privilege of serving as the Event Manager and Acting President

(management representative) of Colorful CBS. In this role, I have planned and executed impactful

initiatives such as CBS Pride and several other events aimed at fostering inclusion and a sense of

belonging within our diverse student body. These experiences have honed my skills in event planning,

team coordination, and advocacy, while deepening my understanding of the varied needs and perspectives

    within our community.

My motivation to join the CBS Students Board stems from a strong belief in the importance of student

representation and empowerment. I am passionate about ensuring that CBS Students continues to be a

dynamic force advocating for students' academic, social, and professional interests. I am particularly

inspired by the Board’s responsibilities, including strategy development, policy oversight, and operational

guidance. These align closely with my interests and expertise, as well as my commitment to making a

    meaningful impact.

I am eager to bring my organizational experience, creative mindset, and dedication to this role. My ability

to work collaboratively, combined with a strategic outlook and a focus on inclusivity, positions me to

contribute effectively to the Board’s decision-making processes. I am also excited about the opportunity to

support the management of CBS Nexus and CBS Collection, furthering our mission to enhance student life

    on campus.

Thank you for considering my application. I am enthusiastic about the chance to contribute to CBS

Students and look forward to the opportunity to discuss how I can support the organization’s goals.

  • I’m writing on behalf of CBS Health to submit my

candidacy for one of the new board positions on the CBS Students Board.

As the President of CBS Health, I’ve had the opportunity to lead initiatives that

connect students with career opportunities and inspire collaboration. From

organizing career fairs and workshops to working with global organizations like

Simon Kucher, I’ve learned the value of teamwork and the impact of creating spaces

where students feel heard and empowered.

My involvement doesn’t stop there. I’ve worked with CBS Students and other student

organizations like CEFA and CBS Ventures, helping to promote events and

campaigns that engage our community. These experiences have taught me the

importance of clear communication, inclusivity, and always keeping the students’

    best interests at heart.

I believe I can bring these skills and values to the CBS Students Board. My focus

would be on ensuring that student societies have a strong voice in shaping decisions

and that we continue building a supportive, connected environment for everyone.

I’d be honored to present my candidacy at the Extraordinary General Assembly and

share more about what I hope to bring to the board. Thank you for considering my

application, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
