What data do we collect?

We collect the following data:
Personal identification information (Name, email address, study programme, etc.)

Student organizations you connect with (follow, interact with, volunteer for)

Behavior on the platform (comments, likes, etc.)

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide CBS Students with all of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:
Register for our services

Voluntarily complete a user survey or provide feedback via any of our communication channels

Use or view our software (via your device’s cookies) 

How will we use your data?

Our Company collects your data so that we can:
Manage your account

Personalize your experience (Show content on the platform we think you might like)

Help you interact with the communities you’re a part of 

How do we store your data?

CBS Students securely stores your data with Google at their Firebase services, including, but not limited to, Cloud Firestore, Cloud functions for Firebase and Firebase authentication. Firebase complies with a number of relevant privacy and security standards. Read more about those here: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
CBS Students will keep your data for 1 year after your last registered activity on the platform. One month before the expiration of this time period, you will receive an email that we’re about to delete your data. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data by deleting the records across Firebase.
 

What are your data protection rights?

CBS Students would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
The right to access – You have the right to request CBS Students for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
The right to rectification – You have the right to request that CBS Students correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request CBS Students to complete the information you believe is incomplete.
The right to erasure – You have the right to request that CBS Students erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that CBS Students restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to CBS Students’ processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to data portability – You have the right to request that CBS Students transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
