A Statement of Solidarity to the youth and students of Iran

The violence against Iranian students has reached severe concern. CBS Students condemn the violation of human rights, gender equality, and freedom of expression by the Iranian regime.

We express our solidarity with the students and people of Iran who are fighting for their human rights and call upon the Iranian regime to change its course. We urge the government of Iran to stop suppressing these fundamental rights and freedoms.

We support the proposal made by Denmark, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and the Czech Republic for the EU to sanction individuals and institutions that are responsible for oppressing women in Iran and the attack on Iranian students.

We urge the Danish government to adopt a Students at Risk program to protect students fleeing the country.

In this time of turmoil, we call on all international organizations, governments, and the international community to take a stand against this injustice. We shall not stand by in silence while these atrocities are happening in our world today.
